Journal History

Dostoevsky Studies, founded in 1980, is the journal of the International Dostoevsky Society (IDS).

The journal's History has to be divided in three main periods:

- 1980-1988 The first series (Voll. 1-9), ed. by prof. Rudolf Neuhäuser and printed in Klagenfurt (Austria)

- 1993-2018 The New Series. (Voll. 1-22). The first 2 volumes, divided in three different issues and ed. by prof. Charles Schlacks jr., were published in: Salt Lake City, Utah (1993, Vol. 1, n.1 & 2); Los Angeles, CA & Idyllwild, CA (Vol. 2-6, 1994-1998); and Dresden, Germany, Managing Editor prof. Horst-Jürgen Gerigk (Vol. 2, n.1 & 2, 1998). Starting from the 3th volume the journal was regularly published and printed in Tübingen (Germany) by Narr Francke Attempto Verlag

- 2020- The New Series starting by Vol. 23 becomes an Open Access Digital Journal hosted by the Department of Foreign Languages of The University of Verona (Italy)
